The Islamic scholar and exegete of the Qur’an, Maulana Abdul Majid Daryabadi (1892-1977), although believing in the live, bodily ascension of the Messiah into heaven, nonetheless was forced to translate the words of the holy Qur’an (Sura 3:55) which explicitly speak of the death of the Messiah contrary to the standard but incorrect translations which attempt to distort the true meaning:
إِذْ قَالَ اللَّـهُ يَا عِيسَىٰ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَجب اللہ نے فرمایا اے عیسی میں تم کو موت دینے والا ہوں
Recall when Allah said, O ‘Isa surely I shall make thee die
(Tafsir Majidi p.169):
It should be noted that Maulana Abdul Majid Daryabadi reverted from Atheism to Islam by reading the Literature of Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) on Tauhid.
