Matheel-e-Masih

If Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is Masih Maw’uood then how come, it says Isa ibn Maryam not Ahmad ibn Chirag?

Firstly Muhammad(saw) himself was called ibn Abi Kabshah but was he literally ibn Abi Kabshah and he called himself ibn Abdul Mutallib was he in reality ibn Abdul Mutallib or ibn Abdullah?Ibn Abi Kabsha was someone who tried to steer Meccans away from Idol Worship. The Meccans referred to the Prophet SAW as Abi Kabsha because he was doing the same thing (telling them not to worship the idols).

Companions being called Matheel-e-Masih:

  1. Narrated Abu Dharr:

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no one more truthful in speech, nor in fulfilling of promises, that sky has covered and the earth has carried, than Abu Dharr, the likeness of 'Eisa bin Mariam." So 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said, as if out of envy: "So do you acknowledge that for him, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes, so acknowledge it."

2. Uthman bin AffanI heard al-Hajjaj (661-714 CE) addressing the people, saying: The similitude of Uthman with Allah is like the similitude of Jesus son of Mary. He then recited the following verse and explained it: "O Jesus! Verily, I shall cause thee to die, and shall exalt thee unto Me{3}, and cleanse thee of [the presence of] those who are bent on denying the truth; He was making a sign with his hand to us and to the people of Syria.{3} -3:56

Grading: Two people accept the Al Hajaj Hadith Arnaut Says Rijala Thiqat and Zunair Alizai says it’s Hassan

3. Ali Ibn Abi Talib
  • Muhammad(saw) said to me[Ali] that what happened in the case of Eisa. The Jews went as far as saying Mary was an adulteror and the Christians due to their intense love made Isa a god. The same would happen to Hadrat Ali(ra). Two groups would go to hell, one that hates him and one that loves him beyond bounds. (Refers to Nasibis and Sabians).

In two cases of these ahadith the word Mathala is used while the first شِبْهِ is used. So all three of these companions were Matheel-e-masih. In fact Dr. Israr Ahmad wrote an entire book titled Matheel e Esa - Ali Murtadha. So when there are over 16 similarties between Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) and Isa(as) why can’t he be the Masih of the latter days?
